LIBRARY COMMITTEE 2024-2025
Functions:
- Conduct orientation programs to help students and faculty effectively utilize library resources and services.
- Promote digital literacy through training on academic databases, citation tools, and research platforms.
- Regularly update library collections to align with current academic and research needs.
- Maintain a quiet, inclusive, and accessible environment conducive to learning and research.
- Support research and publication efforts by providing scholarly resources and guidance on academic publishing.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure equitable access to library resources and maintain a comfortable, user-friendly environment for all users.
- Collaborate with academic departments to align library acquisitions and services with curriculum and research needs.
- Encourage faculty to recommend subject-specific books, journals, and other academic resources.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on library activities and developments to the Academic Council or Governing Body.
